Bring our yer dead. The Re-awakening.
Non competitive but just as good fun!
A bit of RC history for you below!
This 1/12th Ishimasa FF12E chassis from 1979, world’s first front wheel drive rc car. It came with a couple of different body types. There was a Porsche 917, the Savanna RX-7 a Renault Mirage. There may have been more.
Presented in ‘Graupner Neuheitenkatalog 1980′, Graupner followed the first successes achieved in 1979 with the vehicle in some national races.

below is the club report from the agm
Club report 2013
2013 has seen another busy and successful year for the club.
Indoor finished well, with the expected dip in numbers not occurring which left us struggling to run four rounds to the end!
The snowman series was well attended by all with quite a few newcomers coming to practice for the national later in the year
The outdoor season started with our regular Easter meet, hastily scheduled after A1 pinched the date and then had to cancel because of a flooded track!
The mid-east regional series started at Broxtowe with 2wd, there were 83 entries an encouraging start to the season, 4wd and short course returned in august, 60 entries over the two classes, pretty good to say it was the last round of the championship!
Short course returned to Broxtowe in May excellent numbers again over 60 entries across the three classes.
The only on road action this year took place in June with the BRCA Clubmans meeting. A fantastic event with amazing face book feedback and good weather!
The following weekend saw the BRCA off road national; unfortunately the weather was not so kind! Mixed conditions on the Saturday saw some odd round scores! Sunday was more consistent. The event went well and the club would like to express special thanks to Eugene Galley for going the extra mile to make sure the event was a success. 1st to arrive on Thursday morning and last to leave on Sunday night.
Friday club nights went ok with the usual interruptions from the weather.
Indoors started as the last finished, very busy! Unfortunately three rounds seems the norm now, with many drivers electing to run two classes it makes it impossible to do anymore!
The future
planned events, the snowman series continues outdoors over the winter, also an indoor series mainly for on road. The Christmas cracker returns for a two day meeting this year 28th/29th dec. Entry forms for all these events are available on the website.
National events for both on and off road have been applied for the results of which should be known very shortly.
Work to complete outdoors includes painting both buildings at request of the council, connection of electrical supply to the new building and general upkeep.
It has to be said that helpers for both maintenance and at events has been woefully inadequate this year and has to change. The committee would like to remind all members that it’s their club and in their interests to get involved! The continued success of the club depends on it.
Following the election of officers the following people were duly elected to the committee
Chairman Dan Austin
Vice Chairman Richard Johnson
Treasurer Nigel Town
Secretary Andrew Hicklin
Membership Alan Willows
committee Jimmy Noke, Warren Fox, Lance Walker, Stuart Butler, Martin Thorpe,

Snowman Series Review
Early Start!
This is due to high numbers of racers attending our club. We would like to start racing by 6.30pm Latest, so please try to get along a bit earlier and help us setup etc.
We have done this to avoid the unthinkable of having to turn away racers!
thanks for all your support.

Personal Transponders
- AMB Handout transponders
- AMB Personal transponders
- MRT Personal transponders
The old style AMB transponders are no longer available and you have the option of buying either a ‘Harry’ personal transponder or a ‘Purcy’ personal transponder.
The ‘Harry’ PT will work with our system fine, even if we upgrade our equipment. Works with RC3 and RC4
The ‘Purcy’ PT will only work with RC4
The AMB Handout transponders will work with our system, RC3 and 4
MRT Cloned transponders may not work with the new system RC4 but work fine with RC3
We as a club have decided that for the foreseeable future we will not be upgrading our system to RC4 as it works fine at the moment as there are a large number of MRT clone transponders in use. If you are looking to purchase a personal transponder we suggest you go down the ‘Harry’ route as these will work with other clubs timing equipment should they upgrade to RC4
One point we feel we must make is that handout transponders are no longer available to buy new so there will come a time when we may no longer be able to supply them at our meetings. This means that personal transponders will be required to race at some stage in the future. However we have managed to replace the batteries in our old handout transponders and keep them going strong at the moment.
We hope this clears it up a bit?
