Christmas Racing 2012

Just to let you all know that club racing will be going ahead as normal on the 22nd and 29th December. Doors open at 6pm as usual.

Don’t forget the Christmas Cracker indoor off road event on 28th December. Doors open 8am. Booking for this event is advised due to high numbers turning up.

Vintage Buggy Night

December 8th. Got an old buggy you haven’t run for a while? Got a lunch box you would just love to thrash round our track? Want to blow the cobwebs of your old Tamiya Hot-Shot? Come along on Saturday December 8th and run your old buggy without worrying about being last or looking silly. A group of racers has requested this for the above date and invite as many as possible to come along and join them.

BRCA Clubmans On Road National

Broxtowe Model Car Club is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a round of the BRCA touring car Clubmans Series in 2013 Dates are yet to be confirmed but we are pleased to have been awarded this event. More details soon!

Annual General Meeting

Our annual general meeting was held on 8th November. The committee remained largely unchanged with the exception of 2 committee members who did not re stand. Our thanks go to them for the effort they have put in, and thanks to the rest of the committee who run this club on our behalf. Little was changed, with membership and race fees staying the same. Minutes of the meeting will be published on this website soon.

Annual General Meeting 8th November 7.30pm

Broxtowe Model Car Club’s annual general meeting will take place on 8th November at 7.30pm
It will be held in the committee room of the parish hall, adjacent to Greasley Leisure Centre where we race indoors on Saturday nights.
Please can all club members try to attend to discuss the future of your club.

On Road Sundays December 16th and February 10th

Due to polar demand we have decided to run two on road indoor events. These events will be at our indoor venue and will be using the full indoor track with pitting in the adjacent hall. This gives us a massive carpet track making racing bigger and better.
We will cater for all on road classes but it is aimed mainly at:

GT12 (Schumacher and Mardave variants)
Touring Cars Stock: 17.5 Blinky and 27 turn brushed.
Touring Cars Open: Anything faster than the above!
Minis (Open Motors)

If there is enough of any other class such as

F1
GT10
12th Scale
or any thing else we will cater for them no problem!

Trophies to the top three in each class where we know there will be enough attending. (10 or more)

Round 1 of Snowman Series

Our Snowman series went off to a flying start on October 7th 2012. Over 50 drivers in attendance with fine weather meant a great day was had by all.

Christmas Cracker

Snowman Series Starts

Our 2012 / 2013 winter series starts on Sunday 6th October
Only real men need apply!

New Rostrum Finished

The off road rostrum has now been finished and gives an outstanding view of the track, and also has a race directors office and storage facilities for track markings. This means off road meetings can now be set up much quicker and easier for all involved.
